Laurance Kaufman
Owner - Operator - Investor
Larry is a senior real estate executive and team leader with over 30 years of real estate portfolio management experience, creating strategy and leading execution across various real estate asset types (multifamily, office, retail) across the U.S.
With experience covering over 40,000 multifamily units and 5 million square feet of office and retail space, Larry has spearheaded large acquisitions, overseen management internalizations and transitions, implemented value-add strategies at properties and across portfolios, and has had team and portfolio leadership responsibility for groups such as Blackstone (operating portfolio company), AREA Property Partners, and various family offices, private funds, and publicly traded REITS.
Throughout his career, Larry has proven adept at developing strong relationships with parties integral to the success of the investment (investors, lenders, partners, managers, tenants, contractors and service providers). Larry believes that successful outcomes are generated by a focus on nurturing talent, team collaboration, and having a strong drive for creating operational excellence.
Larry earned an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a BA, with a dual concentration in economics and political science, from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a licensed real estate broker in New York State and an investor in multifamily communities, single-family rental homes, and commercial properties throughout the country.
Larry lives in New York City with his wife and two sons.
